Jennifer Harmon

Jennifer HarmonJennifer Harmon is an Assistant Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program of the Department of Dental Ecology at the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, NC.  Jennifer’s experience expands beyond clinical, with backgrounds in both education and research.  In her current role, she is the director of clinical hygiene and periodontics for the first-year dental hygiene students.  She also directs the prevention & scaling course for first-year dental students, as well as “Clinical and Laboratory Teaching” in the Master of Science degree program in dental hygiene education.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2007, her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from UNC in 2013, and completed her Masters of Science in Dental Hygiene Education at UNC in 2015.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Caring Dental Professionals and the International Advisory Board for the National Center for Dental Hygiene Research and Practice, University of Southern California Ostrow School of Dentistry.  When not educating or speaking, you might find Jennifer volunteering or coaching.
