Susan J. Daniel
Susan received her Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from the Wayne Community College in N.C., a Bachelor of Science in Dental Auxiliary Teacher Education from the University of North Carolina, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Kentucky, and a PhD in Clinical Health Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was inducted into the Xi chapter while on the faculty at UNC-CH in 1991.
In 1993 she ws the founder of the Chi Chi Epsilon chapter at the UMMC, and also served as 2012-13 president of the Rho chapter at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is now the president of the Alpha Phi chapter at ODU.
Presently, Susan is the Dental Hygiene Chair at Old Dominion. Her areas of expertise and interests are telehealth, curricular design and health services research. She is a visionary, identifying effective and efficient concepts to improve education, access to healthcare and interprofessional care models.
