Sigma Phi Alpha, Supreme Chapter is proud to offer four competitive scholarships to help fund dental hygienist academic and professional career goals. These scholarships are offered through ADHA Institute of Oral Health and ADEA. Applications must be submitted directly through these partnering agencies. Scholarships are available for the current academic year. Each individual award is $1,000. Awarding of scholarships is strictly dependent on adherence to eligibility criteria and deadlines. A $1000.00 scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student pursuing a Certificate/Associate degree at a school with an active chapter of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society that is a potential future Sigma Phi Alpha member. Applicants must demonstrate a cumulative dental hygiene grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship is offered through ADHA Institute of Oral Health.
A $1000.00 scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding Sigma Phi Alpha member pursuing a baccalaureate degree at a school with an active chapter of the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society that is a potential future Sigma Phi Alpha member or a current member in good standing. Applicants must demonstrate a cumulative dental hygiene grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship is offered through ADHA Institute of Oral Health.
A $1000.00 scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding Sigma Phi Alpha member pursuing a graduate degree in dental hygiene or a related field that is a potential future Sigma Phi Alpha member or a current member in good standing. Applicants must demonstrate a cumulative dental hygiene grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship requires specific goals statement and submitted manuscript upon completion of dental hygiene program. This scholarship is offered through ADHA Institute of Oral Health.
Apply NowA $1,000 scholarship is awarded to an individual pursuing allied dental education study at the baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree levels. This scholarship recognizes the memory and the 30-year dental education career of Linda Rubinstein DeVore. Professor DeVore was active in dental hygiene education, scholarship and public service. She served as President of the American Association of Dental Schools (now ADEA) in 1994, and President of the Supreme Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha, the national honorary society of the dental hygiene profession, from 1997–1998. This scholarship is offered by The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and Sigma Phi Alpha.
